Research directions:

  • Research on the ontogenesis of model and agricultural plants in an artificial climate for year-round cultivation of crops in various climatic zones (modeling of natural growth conditions)
  • Identification of the molecular mechanisms of priming by natural biopolymers and new low molecular weight compounds to increase plant resistance to phytopathogens, biotic, abiotic stress factors and environmental changes in the context of global climate change
  • Exploring the possibility of using the symbiotic potential of PGPR (Plant Growth-Promoting Rhizobacteria) to increase yields
  • Development of methods of clonal plant micropropagation as a basis for providing modern and high-quality planting material free from pathogens
  • Development of biotechnologies, including genetic technologies (genome editing) for targeted modification of plants to obtain new genetic lines with specified properties
  • Development of ways to increase the efficiency of photosynthetic processes in plants using various combinations of the spectral composition of light
  • Identification of biochemical markers (metabolites and proteins) of plant resistance to drought, as well as their validation for prospective use as markers for breeding drought-resistant varieties of this key crop
  • Identification of the mechanisms of action of new promising drought protectors of the sydnonymine series using proteomics and metabolomics methods for promising synthetic optimization in order to enhance the protective effect of these substances.
