The Centre for Information and Analytical Support and Monitoring

The Centre for Information and Analytical Support and Monitoring (The Monitoring Centre) was established in 2019 on the basis of The Federal Research Centre “Fundamentals of Biotechnology” of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The strategic goal of the Monitoring Centre is systematic work progress tracking and control of the implementation of complex scientific and technical projects in the framework of the Federal Scientific and Technical Program for Agricultural Development 2017 – 2025 for the following subprograms:

  • “Development of selection and seed production of potato in the Russian Federation”;
  • “The development of selection and seed production of sugar beet in the Russian Federation”

The initiator of the creation of the Monitoring Centre is the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia together with the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Russia. The head of the Monitoring Centre is Irina Kuklina.

The main purpose of the Monitoring Centre is to assess the effectiveness of the implementation of the Subprograms “Development of selection and seed production of potato in the Russian Federation” and “Development of selection and seed production of sugar beet in the Russian Federation” of the Program at the stage of preparing proposals for the projects and during the implementation of the complex scientific and technical projects.

During the implementation of complex scientific and technical projects the Monitoring Centre carries out quarterly monitoring of the implementation of projects and prepares information about:

  • comprehensive analysis of the project implementation,
  • analysis of the results of scientific activity during these projects,
  • risk assessment of the implementation of the Subprograms and the Program as a whole,
  • development of measures to eliminate emerging risks.
